Since the cooking time is dependent on the slow cooker, does the macaroni hold up well on warm? I’m worried if I start it too soon it will get cold before we eat, but if I start it too late it won’t be done in time.

I love this recipe! I’ve made it a few times now. I honestly don’t understand why people are having a problem. It’s always creamy and delicious for me.

I had to use shells instead of macaroni noodles since my grocery store was out of stock and to anyone who says it’s grainy- probably because you overcooked it. The cheese tasted perfect at around the 1- 1 1/2 hour mark but I had to cook longer for this pasta and due to that the cheese became grainy. If it wasn’t for that I would’ve loved it! The flavor was absolutely fantastic and I’m so bummed it became grainy

Just made this today and it turned out great, with the exception of my letting it go just a little too long, so it wasn’t very creamy, but. It was still really good. I don’t particularly care for mac and cheese and I even ate a bowl. My mac and cheese-loving daughter was very happy.

The cheese sauce that I made was delicious. I used a block of velveeta cheese as well as shredded cheese. But WHO TF thought it is a good idea to not cook the pasta first! I am angry because the cheese is so good and the pasta is like gum and it gets stuck in your teeth. It’s been in the crockpot on high for two hours and the pasta isn’t even cooked yet. It’s terrible. I can’t serve this to my family tonight and now I have to think of another dinner at 830pm….

Positive side, I know how to make fondue.
