These air fryer chicken drumsticks are ultra juicy with a hint of sweet and sticky caramelization that complements the other spices so well. Plus, they take half the time to cook compared to a conventional oven.
Add the chicken, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and olive oil to a large bowl. Toss to coat the chicken.
Cook the chicken for about 25 to 30 minutes at 380F in an air fryer, flipping once halfway through.
Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and sprinkle on the parsley. Serve.
Notes
You may double this recipe, but be sure to cook the chicken in batches. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. It needs room for circulation which will give you nice crispy skin and promotes even cooking throughout.
Chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165F and the juices run clear.
To make this dish low carb, use keto brown sugar instead of regular brown sugar.
